What does worship at LCCK look like?
Liturgy
Our worship services are a combination of traditional and contemporary Lutheran worship. Taking the structure of traditional Lutheran worship, our worship includes a welcome and passing of the peace, confession and forgiveness, prayers, reading of God's Word, message for the day, creed, offering, Communion, blessing and dismissal, all with music throughout.
Music
Music is prayerfully chosen by our worship & music team for each week to include songs of praise, celebration, and grace chosen from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal, All Creation Sings hymnal, as well as music from This Far By Faith, contemporary Christian radio, and more!
Communion
During worship, in our context usually near the end of our time together, the pastor says the Words of Institution. We echo Jesus’s words at the Last Supper with his disciples and Paul’s words from Corinthians. We often pray the Lord’s Prayer together.
The pastor gives instructions, and the ushers help direct people towards the altar, where you are served gluten free bread and your choice of red wine or white grape juice. If you prefer to serve yourself, the same elements are available in single serve packaging. If you're worshiping with us from home we invite you to gather some bread and wine/juice for yourself before you join for worship.
